Why is Exercise Physiology important for Veterans?
Exercise Physiology is important for Veterans to improve physical and mental health post service. Commitment and determination are common characteristics across the Veteran community which makes working with Veterans so inspiring. The Department of Veteran Affairs (DVA) offers Exercise Physiology services to assist in rehabilitation and managing health.
Rebound Health Exercise Physiology
Our Exercise Physiology sessions are much more than a way to improve and maintain physical health, they also provide the opportunity for Veterans to become socially engaged and physically active in a comfortable setting.
We are a team of exercise specialists who have a background in chronic disease management and mental health conditions. Physical and psychological conditions derived from service can lead to isola<on and poor health. At Rebound, we endeavor to reduce isolation amongst the Veteran community and improve health. Exercise is physically beneficial and can assist in reducing post-trauma<c stress symptoms, help manage anxiety, and improve social wellbeing.
At Rebound, the community aspect of our Exercise Physiology services is paramount. We work with a large group of Veterans which has helped create a strong sense of belonging for our DVA clients. We encourage our DVA clients to become involved in our community initiatives including our walking groups and socials such as Trivia nights. The walking group is a great way to keep active and social during the week. Our locations change weekly, so it is also a great opportunity to see some of our beautiful beaches.
Exercising at Rebound Health is more than a way to improve your physical fitness, it is becoming part of a supportive community. We want to assist you in achieving a better quality of life and reaching your goals
